South Cement has been adopting waste heat power generation technology on a large scale. Energy conservation and emission reduction began in response to the proposal of the Chinese central government more than a decade ago, and started under the background of environmental protection policies. So far, more than 100 rotary kiln plants of dry production method in South Cement have all adopted this technology.

  

The working principle of this technology is to directly recycle the waste heat and exhaust gas discharged from the kiln head and kiln tail during the clinker calcination process, and the steam generated by the waste heat boiler drives the turbine generator to generate electricity.

In the new dry process cement clinker production enterprises, the exhaust gas at the temperature of about 350 ° C discharged from the kiln head clinker cooler and the kiln tail preheater has a thermal energy of about 35% of the heat consumption of the cement clinker firing system. Low-temperature waste heat power generation technology can recover the waste heat of the clinker firing system, which accounts for 35% of the heat consumption of the clinker firing system, and improve the energy utilization rate of cement enterprises to more than 95%. The promotion and application of this new energy-saving technology makes full use of limited resources and the development of cement kiln waste heat power generation projects has become a trend in the development of the cement industry.

  

Waste heat power generation not only saves energy, but also benefits the environment. A cement clinker production line with a daily output of 5,000 tons can use waste heat to generate 21-24 million kWh of electricity per day, which can solve about 60% of the electricity need for clinker production. The overall energy consumption of the product can be reduced by about 18%, and annual standard coal can be saved by about 25,000 tons, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 60,000 tons.
